One
of the reasons that Islam is so powerful is because
all over the world their followers are praying everyday. When Muslims gather for
prayer
they are united with other Muslims around the world who
are praying at
the same time. Out of the approximately 1.6 billion Muslims,
everyday there are tens of millions
praying around the world at the same time down to the
minute! How is this possible? Because the
times for prayer are calculated and strictly adhered to
among the Islamic community. This united prayer
effort stirs up a lot of power in the demonic
realm.
Yes,
there are more Christians than Muslims on the earth, but we are so
fragmented into denominational categories, that our unity
suffers. We can't agree on how to pray, let alone
when to pray. Recently, national leaders, such as
Franklin Graham, Dr. Dobson & Dr. James Kennedy came together
on TV voicing their support for 'The Passion'. Mel Gibson has been able to unite our church leaders,
much as his character, William Wallace, did in 'Braveheart'.
Remember his line to Robert the Bruce, "Unite us;
unite us!" This Mel has done. He has been able to get
Christians to assemble in unity all over the US and
Canada. Soon God's people will be coming together in other nations of
the world as well when 'The Passion' opens worldwide.
Can you imagine the prayer power
that could be released if we were gathering together in
unity for prayer? Oh, my heart longs for the day when
Christian brothers and sisters all around the
world begin making time to corporately together for the things of
the kingdom of God. "If my people which are called
by my name shall humble themselves and pray... then will I
hear from Heaven." (2 Ch. 7:14)
Unfortunately, the Muslims

are praying to their god more
than many of us are on a consistent regular
basis, whether they feel the anointing to or not. I believe
that the Christian church will need to incorporate the discipline of
consistent daily prayer if they desire to overpower the onslaught of
Islamic fanaticism.
When we pray, we win. For example, when Nazi Germany
was bombing England, the Lord told Rees Howells to
pray that Hitler would turn and attack Russia. As Rees and
his intercessors obediently began to declare this in
prayer,
to great delight, Germany did turn from England aiming her guns on Russia instead! If we only knew the
power of our prayers, I believe we could easily out pray the Islamic
nations and out maneuver them in the spirit realm.
It has
been said repeatedly that God does nothing except in
answer to men's prayers. Whether or not this is true it is
debatable but there is an awesome principle here. Do
you have the faith to just believe, like Hannah, like Esther,
like Rees Howells, that your prayers have the power
to change the destiny of your nation, your people, your family? I believe it is more than possible. It is a
fact that God Almighty hears the prayers of even the least
of his saints, and he can and will act upon your
intercession.
So, I would encourage you to kneel and pray
this day and everyday until the end of your life. As Churchill once proclaimed,
"Never, never, never
give up!" Because of his determination, England was
instrumental in bringing the downfall of one of the worst
demonic regimes known to man. Think of the possibility of
what you may be able to accomplish in prayer to Almighty
God who has both the right and the power to change your
circumstances and those of your nation.
