Call upon the Name of the Lord

"Do not put your security in what even godly men and good leaders can think of or devise, but put your security in the Name of the Lord."

The weapon of your warfare is mighty. Can you not call upon the Name of the Lord and is not his Name the highest power in Heaven and in earth? Call on the Name of the Lord. Call on the Name of the Lord and it’s his name that is above all other names.

His name is more powerful than any other destructive forces you could even think of or imagine. His Name is the name that did call forth even the universe into existence. It is his Name; it is His Name; it is upon the Name of the Lord that the sun, moon and stars, and the earth and the planets are in their orbit. It is upon the Name of the Lord that you do find your destinies as you walk according to the ways of the Lord. Nations do rise and nations do fall even at the Name of the Lord and at his command.

So, do not worry; do not fret. Do not say, “Well, my nation has this type of weapon and this time we’ll be safe.” Do not put your security in what even godly men and good leaders can think of or devise, but put your security in the Name of the Lord. Do not call for the bombs. Do not call for this or call for that, but call upon the Name of the Lord. In this you will find your salvation.

And my daughters, those of you who would have to stay behind at home, know that your prayers, your intercessions and your songs do go forth before the ones you love. And you can claim Psalm 91: though a thousand would fall at the right hand and at the left, it will not come nigh thee. They will jump out of airplanes and even though their chutes would not open would not their very life be saved by the miracles of God? It is so.

So, do not be filled with fear. Know that I can go if your brother’s called up or your husband’s called up, if your uncles are called up to defend God and country and home, your prayers will go before them. Your songs will go before them. Your songs will go before them. Come sing the songs of Miriam. Come sing the songs; sing the songs.

When Israel did march around even Jericho did they not blow that trumpet? What did cause the walls to come down? It wasn’t the battering ram. It wasn’t high explosives. It was the song and the shout unto God. So shout unto God. Shout unto God! Shout unto God! Shout unto God!

Just to clarify, when the Lord spoke here of not calling for bombs he was not saying that it is wrong for a nation to call for bombs. But rather the picture I was getting was that we, as individuals need to remain focused and secure within our relationship with the Lord himself. He is to be the first one we run to and rely upon and feel safe because of him and his great love for us.

Also, when the Lord spoke of soldiers jumping out of planes in missions where their parachute didn’t open up, this actually happened once to my sister’s husband and he didn’t die! His rifle broke his fall and amazingly he walked away! But as I told the prayer group afterwards that morning, I believe that a lot of that had to do with the prayers my sister would pray at night as she tucked their young sons into bed, and the sweet songs she would sing in her heart to the Lord during the many weeks and months she was here in the states while he away with his army unit.

May we as the intercessors and worshippers of the Lord bathe our soldiers and leaders in our prayers and songs of intercession. I was out on my morning walk early last week through the park, I like to call it our “Garden of Eden” for it is so beautiful, talking with the Lord and I began to sing over the President of the United States that the Lord would cover him with godly wisdom. For those of you who may have seen his recent address to the nation and to Congress, he even ended it by asking for God’s wisdom.

And may we also continue to pray for and sing songs of comfort over the people who are hurting in New York and around the country and even reaching into other nations. May we not forget and may we continue to remember them in prayer and show them our Christian love and the love of a loving Father in Heaven who desires to hold them in his arms and collect their tears and heal their pains.
