Taylor Gold What will be told? And written of you in days to come?
How many races will he run? How many trophies will be won? How many lives will he touch? How many hearts will be touched?
With the warmth of his smile And the strength of God’s hand He’ll win the lost And save many a lost lamb
Because deep inside Underneath the clown Is a gentle shepherd Whose life he’s laid down To go forth and answer The call on his life To let the Father choose His pathway in life
For all he really wants to do and to be Is to become His servant and to please His King So, it doesn’t really matter How great his destiny may or may not be All that he really cares about Is pleasing the King of Kings And hearing Him say in his heart At the end of each day,
"Well done, my son; Thanks for doing it My way!" For I chose you long, long ago To make an imprint on this world for Me All you have to do now Is make your life a living offering
And I will take and bless each little part Multiplying them until Your life becomes a work of art Of divine majesty fulfilled As one of my knights crusading the world Who tells all he does meet and see Of the love of His Savior The hope of His grace And the joy that Salvation brings
So rest now, my son Your life is in My hands All will be well as I’ve designed and planned I promise this day A life of fulfillment Of unending love between you & Me My promise to you Is a life that’s worth living As you walk on now In service of the King
Remember way back when You first gave your life to Me? So much has happened between us since then When you joined my living army For you offered up your heart As a young lad And I accepted your life Your two fishes and loaf of bread
And someday soon yet not far away Together we may feed ten thousand in a day With the truth of the Savior And the Gospel of the King The reality of my Kingdom And the hope that Christ brings
So trouble not thyself In what will be written or told But come now walk with Me As hand in hand we reach out to the world Winning lives for eternity
For I am still seeking I am still calling Disciples of fire to come follow Me I am still searching I am still choosing Fishers of men to come fish with Me
And oh, what a bounty Oh, what a catch Oh, what a day that will be to see As young men of Earth Let Me cast out their nets Pulling in souls for eternity
So, Taylor Gold What will be told Of your life as you live it Now that you’re free? Only I know As you inside know What you’re called to become and to be
Just rest now and let’s see How life unfolds for thee As I add the final touches On this living canvas you’ve set before Me
