The Story of the White Horse

A parable as it came to me in a dream...

by Bonnie Franklin April 21, 1991

There was a beautiful white horse that I had given to an old man for his care-taking. And the old man brought the white horse unto all the stables until the horse found the one he was willing to stay in. And they brought him a bridle and a blanket and they made for him a stall for his own. The horse would allow no one to touch him save for the old man. So, the old man was made his stable boy and was given a place to stay. The white horse was to be his sole responsibility, and faithfully he brought him water and food and bathed and combed him.

The Master of the Stables came and desired to ride him. Now many men had tried before, but none had ever been able to even touch him for the horse would rise up upon his hind legs with determined anger. Yet, this time the old man nodded and whispered to the horse that it would be OK and so the horse accepted the bridle and the blanket and let the man sit upon his back.

And the Master did come to love and treasure the horse and gave unto him an honored stall in his stables with his name engraved above the door and he even had a statue made in his honor, which did rest near the entrance of the stables outside, for all the visitors to see and behold upon entering the Master’s estate.

But alas, the Master grew sick and was taken to bed and was so ill that he could no longer run the affairs of the estate and his land holding on his own. So, the Elder Brother was sent for to tend to the matters in his younger brother’s behalf. And low, while the Young Master was sick and bedridden, the New Master did call for the books and he did sit down and begin to put things in order according to his judgments. When the New Master came upon the account of the White Horse he did inquire of his servants,

"How many races has he won?"

And the servants answered, "Why none, my lord."

And then the New Master asked, "Well then, how many prized horses has he sired?"

And again the servants answered, "Why none, my lord, for our Master did treasure him and kept him for himself. For he rode him in secret and would allow no other man to touch him or to look upon him, save for the Old Man of the stable."

Upon hearing these answers, the Elder Brother gave the servants the orders to take the White Horse out behind the stables and shoot and bury him there without mentioning anything of this to the Younger Master. The servants left the New Master’s presence and went on to carry out his orders, however one still faithful to the Young Master quickly ran into his bedchambers warning him of the Elder Brother’s plans.

The Young Master rose from his bed and though still weakened and ill, together with the faithful servant went unto the stables by his own personal route arriving before the other servants. The Master led the White Horse out of the stables and the servant stayed behind making it appear as if robbers had come in the night and stolen the horse away.

When the Elder Brother’s servants arrived upon the stable they saw that indeed the White Horse was missing and they perceived among themselves that robbers had come and stolen him away. The servants said among themselves,

"What shall we do? How can we tell the New Master the truth, for surely he will be angry if hears that the horse was stolen and is now in another’s possession and does yet live. Let us take now his blanket and kill for us a calf and smear the blanket with it’s blood, for behold the New Master will believe that we have indeed carried out his plans and all will go well with us then."

And so the servants did as they had decided and brought the blanket smeared with blood and laid it at the Elder Brother’s feet. Upon seeing it the Elder Brother called for the Old Stable Man who knew nothing of the goings on in the night and demanded of him saying,

"Where were you when all of this happened? Why were you sleeping and not watching over your charge? For he did get loose in the night and became wild and whistled for all the other horses to break free and to follow him, and so of course we were then forced to rope him and shoot him down, lest he lead away all of our mares or turn upon us in his great power and anger."

Now when the Old Man did not believe their story the servants put within his hands the blanket freshly smeared with blood. In agony the Old Man fell to his feet weeping for he did at once recognize it as the blanket given to the White Horse by the Young Master. It was one of a kind hand crafted with an Eagle embroidered on one side and a White Dove upon the other. Yea, there was none other like it in all of the land. Truly his beloved horse was indeed dead! And the Elder Master ordered that the Old Man be taken out with his belongings and leave the grounds of the estate, for his services were now no longer needed.

Meanwhile, the Young Master carefully led the White Horse up into the hill country and set him free making the promise unto him that when it was safe he would indeed return and bring him back unto his home. So the White Horse did enter into the caves and the mountains as the Young Master returned unto his home.

For low, look and behold!

Look with your eyes and see the future destiny…

And the Young Master did make his way back even to the west gate of the estates, and upon his entering there the Elder Brother’s personal servants did meet him and bound and gag him and he was brought before the Elder Brother who did now look upon him with ridicule and with scorn saying,

"I have seen the records and the plans for our Father’s lands

And I must totally disagree.

And as the Elder Brother I am taking over my birthright

That you did even try to steal from me.

From this day I shall be the master

And you shall be the slave.

Go from my sight this day

And by sweat and toil shall your bread you make.

For low, that horse that you did love and display

More human emotion for than my friends and me all of your days,

Is now forever gone from your sight and from view;

I am finally rid of the threat of it and of you.

So, go from my sight; be gone now from my view;

I detest even now the very thought of you!

You who have loved the stables so much more that all my friends and me,

Make the stables now your home;

Have straw for your food and horses for your family."

And so the Young Master was taken from the Elder Brother’s room & sight

Alone without any hope or comfort to sleep through the night.

And the Lord would say this day unto you,

Oh Jacob, weep no longer

For that whom you have loved and cared for

For your Joseph is not dead, but he is hidden.

And behold, that White Horse

Whom you have greatly loved is indeed in safety

For I did even send Mine Angels down and brought him up

Into the Heavenly Stables to reside now with Me.

And in due season and at the appointed time I will release him

And he shall come back down to the earth again;

Only this time

He shall carry upon My Colors, says God.

And upon his blanket shall be My Royal Emblems.

For he shall have two Angels at his side

To protect him and to protect thee

And you shall recognize him

When his face you do see.

And on his blanket shall an Angel with a trumpet be

And mine Angel of the sword

And all that I send him forth to do

Shall no man stop nor hinder.

For he has received Mine Seal

And Mine Anointing of power and authority

And he shall run again even on my Holy Spirit Wind;

And that dream and that vision that I did place within thee

Shall come true and shall yet be.

For you shall be at the side

Of the White Horse of Mine

And there shall you see and behold My plan

For the end of time;

As indeed, the horse shall lead

My troops into battle as he

Does whistle the charging blast and shrill cry.

And right before you eyes shall you watch and behold

The coming Glory of the LORD as in days of old

As my prophets and apostles did walk the earth back then

So shall it be seen here on the earth once again.

And no longer to one stable shall you be bound

But you and the horse shall be free

To travel all over the land as was indeed Mine holy plan.

May all nations and may all kings

Glory in the sight of him and of thee

As they watch and see the awesome power of thy God

Be bestowed on all mankind, bondsmen and free

And it shall be as it shall be.

So rest and be still and believe

For it shall all be as was meant to be

For once again my White Horse shall you see.

For yea, so soon and yet not so far away

Shall the sun dawn upon a brighter and more glorious day…

As I do send My chosen Knight

Upon my horse to ride the land

And he with Mine Angels shall bring hope

And peace back into the land.

And ye who was scorned and ye who was forced to leave

Shall join with him and fight

For all that you have hoped for and have believed.

For together with Mine Angels by your side

Shall you lead and fight for what shall now be Mine

And yea, this one who did steal it all in the night

Shall awaken with alarm at the oncoming sight

And though he jump upon his strong mighty black stead

And ride up to destroy the incoming army

Look and behold what his destiny shall be…

For has he not even taken the White Horse’s blanket for his own?

Look and behold, the Dove and the Eagle

Are encaged sitting by each side of his throne

And for this cause and for this thing

Shall I send Mine Angels to do battle for Me

For Mine Angels shall drive him back and out of the land

And restore that which was taken by his hand

And the ones which he did take for himself

To be encaged forever from My plans and dreams

Shall I send My Mighty Angel to that castle

And he shall enter in and set them free

With the Dove under one wing

And the Eagle enfolded behind the other

Shall My Angel fight and fly and return them

Unto the land of their brothers.

And when Mine Angel does safely return

With his feet touching down upon the land,

Then and only then shall He let man see

What is hidden behind His hands

For once again shall My Dove and Eagle fly unchained and free

And they shall fly right into My destiny.

For the White Horse with the Knight and with you, too shall ride, with the Eagle on the left, and Mine Dove on the right;   And by this group shall My plans and dreams unfold  as many signs and wonders and giftings shall I upon you bestow.

Look with your eyes and you shall see

A glimpse of My holy plans and destiny…

As the prophets and holy disciples once again walk the land

For I’ve chosen you to bring My whole Spirit back into the land.

And may it be done and may it be said

That once again My Spirit does rest upon the land.
